Practically forgotten from tourist guides, the Province of Chanthaburi, 250 km in the south of Bangkok (not to be confused with Kanchanaburi!) is the place dreamed to discover the "every day life"of the villagers. The presence of mountains culminating to 1670 m , the sea (70 km far), the magnificent nature, the majestic trees, giant ferns bordering the cascading streams and the nearby lake where the elephants like to bathe make this forest a paradise. The climate is less hot than in the south of Thailand.
